Sitting down to edit my analog work is a time of creativity and discovery. I find shooting film can be a more meditative experience due to the slower pace than digital. There is a sense of meditation with the hands on Sharpie X to the contact sheet. It's extremely satisfying!
I usually like to review the contact sheets first and once I choose my favorite image, I'll then check the neg to make sure it is sharp. It is amazing though how our brains will convert the neg to a positive.
I have had the same Holga now for over 30 years. I purchased it for $5 - mail order from Hong Kong. I have purchased others over the years, but this original camera has the best lens. And it's specific light leaks are now my photo signature.
It's a cool process. I find that I will lose track of time for sure... the next image I just discovered 27 years later! Crazy. I don't know why I never noticed it before now. I'm excited to make a large print of this one. She's rather haunting... I love it!
